Cardboard Gas Station

This antique toy sits on a shelf in an awesome auto museum that sits behind and shares a parking lot with the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn, Indiana. It’s cool to see non-plastic toys, to imagine what the child’s mind conceived in the throws of pretend, to ponder how the designer worked through the logistics of the cardboard gas station’s construction.
