The experience of life demands a god, insisting on it with such determination that everyone has one and, in fact, serves one. That’s the way a god works. God is whatever you depend upon for help. If your god doesn’t provide for you in a time of trouble, you must provide for it and in the end, be consumed by the relationship. Thus there can only be one god per person – a god demands such a level of fear, love and trust as to exclude any other possibility.
