14542538_1169285006450945_5808239843786112176_oThe Gift and the Defender has finally reached the ARC stage. Ok, so what does that mean?  Well, we’re to the point where a team of Advanced Readers have received Copies of the novel, which they will peruse with their eyeballs and enjoy with their mind melons. Or, I suppose, not enjoy, but, hey, let’s not go there. Seriously though, this means the editing process is drawing to a close. Publication is almost upon us. Are you stoked? I am!

Most of the readers received print copies of the book earlier this month while a couple got a head start by accepting it digitally. When these kind and helpful folks reach the end of the story, they’ve been asked to provide feedback so that Grail Quest Books can publish the best book possible. It’s all about quality control, baby!

I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have these fresh eyes looking over the manuscript and experiencing the adventure in a form that is reminiscent of the finished product. Advanced readers, if you’re reading this, you’re awesome! Thanks. Everybody else, get ready, The Gift and the Defender is almost ready for your precious mind melons.

Finding Truth

Finding Truth in the Story is a thought provoking, Bible-centered commentary on Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Each week I share my thoughts on a new tale as I work from the understanding that all of mankind’s words ultimately find their source in God’s Word. Click here to catch up at the archive.

Thousand Word Thursday is an effort to inspire you to write short stories. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and frankly, I have no reason to doubt them. Click here for the particulars.  Follow me on Instagram to see #1000WordThursday pics and more.
