Tuning into the Big News (Luke 21:25-28)

The fainting with fear and foreboding of what’s coming of the world, of which America is a part, is not shared by the Church. We’re not worried about these things. We know what’s happening. We’ve been told. We know not to be afraid about the tumult we see, for these things must first take place. We stand, as our Christian forefathers have since the days of Christ, straight, with heads raised, knowing our redemption draws near.

I preached this sermon at Christ Lutheran Church in Murray, Utah on November 13, 2016, the Twenty-sixth Sunday after Pentecost.
