Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in America. Today I came across this wonderful article about Albrecht Dürer’s Praying Hands, by Deaconess Carolyn S. Brinkley. Dürer’s Praying Hands. It’s a fascinating piece. I’ve had a wax sculpture of the Praying Hands as long as I can remember. I think my brother got it from a VBS at a Baptist church when we were kids. I don’t know for sure. Click on over to the article and be delighted. And when you fold your hands in prayer tomorrow (if you’re celebrating Thanksgiving) consider the whole story that is found there, the story of your helplessness and God’s mercy in Christ.
Blessings and have a happy Thanksgiving.
