World of Color

A must see light show by none other than the owner of our dreams, Walt Disney (well, not the man, but the company… you know what I mean). My kids were in awe. What am I talking about? I was in awe!

Crater Lake

Last June (2012) we had the chance to take in this breathtaking view at Crater Lake National Park. You couldn’t ask for a clearer day. The way the sky reflected off the massive lake so perfectly caused my mind to venture towards the infinite, a never ending world of blue surrounded by snow capped mountains and the scent of pine. Snowball fights in summers warmth. An incredible dream.

Coffee Daze

I don’t know what it is about coffee in the morning, but, man! My first cup often looks like this. Before I start sipping the warm brown nectar I’m seeing double and everything is a little fuzzy. After that first cup, my vision corrects and I’m ready to tackle the day.

Heroic Top Roping

I’m dying to dive head first into climbing because of this guy right here. Truly my brother from another mother. In the summer of 2012 he exposed me to the pure awesomeness that is rock climbing with these two easy top right climbs, and, well, I went back home and haven’t been able to do it again since. A bummer for sure. What’s more is this hombre taught me how to climb all while nursing a broken hand. Heroic indeed!

By the Blood of the Lamb | Sermon

By the Blood of the Lamb

I preached this sermon (on vicarage) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Palo Alto, CA. on September 30, 2012 (Observance of St. Michael and All Angels Day)

Revelation 12:7-12

She Loves Me

To pluck each petal off one by one, to play effeuiller la marguerite, to determine by chance if my love feels the same about me as I do her. Where to start? A hint of romanticism, a dash of outdoor beauty, the sun and the shadows dancing in brilliance – and the shutter is released.

Trinity’s Christus Rex

Erected above the altar at Trinity Lutheran Church, Palo Alto, CA.(where I’m vicaring) and definitely the most prominent adornment in the building. It’s a beautiful piece of artwork. I snapped some other angles that I’ll post another time.

Tower Fall

Another picture from our 2008 trip. The classic shot of Tower Fall in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming… but this one is mine! We’ve been to a lot of America’s National Parks, Yellowstone, the first one, definitely sets the bar. A guy could live in that park year in and year out and never run out of stuff to see and do.
